Fashion Week collaborations can sometimes feel like little more than a logo swap. Jaded London and Nothing are taking a very different route in New York.

The British fashion label and technology brand have come together for The Sound Room, an immersive music space hidden inside Jaded London’s SoHo store at 434 Broadway. Even the location within the store is unusual. The experience has been built inside a former bank vault, transforming what was once a closed, functional space into something closer to a futuristic underground listening room.

At the centre of it all is Nothing’s Headphone (1), but The Sound Room is designed to feel less like a headphone demonstration and more like an experience built around music culture.

Fashion Meets the Listening Room

The collaboration makes sense because both brands have developed strong visual identities without necessarily playing by conventional luxury rules.

Jaded London draws heavily from club culture, streetwear, experimental silhouettes and the messy energy of youth style. Nothing approaches technology from almost the opposite direction, favouring transparency, industrial detailing and products that feel deliberately minimal.

Inside The Sound Room, those two worlds meet through music. Visitors can move from individual listening experiences to large visual installations, while a concealed section of the vault opens up for live performances. That movement between private listening and a shared music experience gives the installation its personality.

It is part showroom, part listening booth and part secret Fashion Week party.

The Music Matters as Much as the Branding

Rather than filling the programme with obvious celebrity names, Jaded London has kept the focus closer to underground club culture.

Manuka Honey, JOAO Lagrima de Ouro, Boy Pillow, Océane and The Twins are among the artists appearing as part of the programme, creating a mix of London and New York energy.

That choice feels important. The Sound Room is not trying to imitate a giant Fashion Week spectacle. Its appeal comes from feeling smaller, slightly hidden and connected to the communities that influence Jaded London’s aesthetic in the first place.

Access through Jaded London’s app adds another layer of exclusivity to the experience.

Nothing Headphone (1) Gets Out of the Display Case

For Nothing, the partnership gives its first over ear headphones an environment where people can actually understand what they are designed to do.

Instead of presenting Headphone (1) under bright retail lighting beside a specification sheet, the headphones are being used in a room where sound is the main attraction.

It is a simple idea, but a clever one. Technology becomes much easier to remember when people experience it rather than simply look at it. Here, the design of the headphones becomes part of a wider atmosphere involving music, light, fashion and physical space.

A Store That Temporarily Becomes Something Else

Jaded London is also using the collaboration to rethink what a fashion store can be. The Sound Room turns the SoHo location into a temporary cultural space rather than somewhere people visit only to shop. Exclusive Jaded London x Nothing accessories extend the collaboration into fashion, but they are almost secondary to the experience itself.

Opening on September 16 and running for a month, the project also has more breathing room than the usual Fashion Week pop up that disappears after a single evening. The timing feels right. Fashion brands are increasingly trying to create experiences people want to enter, photograph and talk about, rather than simply giving them another product to buy.

Jaded London and Nothing have gone one step further by building theirs around something surprisingly simple: listening. A hidden vault, a pair of headphones and some carefully chosen music might not sound like the loudest idea at New York Fashion Week.

That may be exactly what makes The Sound Room interesting.
