Necklines, Prints & Patterns
* Choose clothes with V-necks and vertical stripes. They help to create an illusion of height and helps the body look elongated.
* Diagonal stripes also serve the same purpose.
* Avoid horizontal stripes.
* Avoid mixing colors and prints.
* Avoid wide patterns, small prints and big pockets.
* The prints should be arranged in a manner that they follow a vertical pattern directing downward. Big floral patterns wont serve the purpose of elongating the height, seemingly.
Clothes
* Wear skirts that are lesser in width and more in length.
* Avoid wearing long skirts.
* Opt for skirts falling just above the knees.
* Mini dresses also help give a elongated look to petite people.
* Boot- cut jeans with little flares will make you appear taller.
* Petite people should avoid wearing oversize clothes. Close-fitting or better fitting clothes should be preferred.
* Mix and match is a good option. Try mixing your long jacket with a short skirt or your short jacket with pants, etc.
Accessories
* Avoid big, wide belts with big buckles. Wear them just under the empire-line, or lower down on your hips.
* Choose scarves tied loosely with long, vertical stripes or prints following a vertical pattern. Avoid big floral or paisley prints.
* Use long necklaces like Opera necklaces that are about 26-34 inches long.they fall below the bust-line.or pendants and avoid Chokers .Even Rope necklaces whose strands can be doubled or tripled can be opted. Pendants are a good option as well.
Footwear
