Hair Accessories
Snoods

Snoods are in great demand and quite popular since ages. It is their
functionality as well as their convenient and easy wearing technique
that accounts for it’s validity and demand.

Snoods are hair accessories meant for women, exclusively. A snood is worn to cover the hair and to not let longer hair fall downwards.

Snoods are worn at the middle of the head. They feature a hairband or a ribbon to hold the long hair up and gather them around the nape of the neck. However, elastics have replaced these ribbons and pins to make them more simple and easy to wear.

The countries where wearing a hat, by women, was fashionable, these snoods played their role well by tieing long tresses very easily under the hats.

Creating a hair style with a snood is an easy job that requires little
time and less efflort. They are highly verastile. They can be worn by
all age groups and on all hair length and texture.

Tieing long hair into a knot or a bun or some other elaborate style
took most of the time and a lot of effort and skill. Wearing a snood
reduced most of the pain in hair dressing.

Finer or thicker hair can be dressed well in a snood for an unsept and attractive look. Since it’s difficult to have hair updo’s for thinner
hair, snood can be a great alternative for giving an illusion of a
longer and thicker hair.

A snood is highly functional. A snood is used to cover and to protect
the hair. You may prevent your ahir from damage caused by heat and sun as well as other pollutant present in air. A snood meant for this purpose has to be made of some thick and comfortable fabric.

Snoods can be worn on all hair length, whether short or long. A snood may give an illusion of having long hair eben if you have shorter
ones!!!

They are easy to wear and maintain. You just need to put your long
hair inside the snood and the rest will be looked after by the snood
itself. A longer hair can be worn inside a snood without the help of
any ribbon or pin.

There are also several styles and designs that you can choose from. However, the color the snood is mostly kept close to the colour of hair to match and mix with the hair.

This hair accessory can be worn at all possible occassion as a style
for every occassion is available. The design ranges from the sipmle
underrated to the most embellished and decorative peices. Bows, beads, studs, and glitters are all to be seen and cheirshed.

However, with the help of some bobby pins you can always ensure that your hair snood is in place. You can also clip in some jeweled and glittering bobby pins and some other clips or barrettes to add glamour and  dazzle to your ensemble

Snood styles are two. The one being the above the neck and around the nape of the neck style and the other being the full coverage snood style.

The nape of the neck style is quite popular among brides and during the proms and other evening parties. Lines and chains of beads, glittering bobby pins, pearls small flowers or some other jewels may be arranged in some patterns for an elegant, attractive and classic princess like look.

The full coverage snood style is worn at the crown of the head to
provide complete coverage to entire hair. This style is mostly worn at workplaces where open hair may give invitation to some hazards to both your hair and your job!!!
