Discovery stops Breast Cancer Stem Cells

In a discovery that might prove to be path breaking, researchers have been able to find a way to halt the expansion of breast cancer stem cells. These cells resist anti-cancer therapies and interfere in successful treatment of breast cancer.

The study has been done on mice and has been published in this week’s edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).
