Bret Michaels who underwent heart surgery on Monday is recovering well, said a representative of the St. Joseph’s Hospital where the operation took place. The star is placed in ICU currently and his progress is being monitored. In an interview to PEOPLE last month, Bret sounded optimistic about the procedure saying that he was hoping that the surgery would help him achieve great results.
Michaels recently announced his engagement to his companion of 16 years, Kristi Gibson.
