Singer Nicki Minaj toned down her hair and makeup for the Elton John Aids Foundation 21st Academy Awards Viewing Party on February 24. However, that didn’t take away anything from her ensemble. If anything, she looked better than ever.

Nicki’s bottle-blonde locks were styled in soft curls which were left loose to cascade down her shoulders from a middle parting, the latter prominently defined by her dark roots. It was a sophisticated hairstyle that suited the occasion and was yet patent Nicki.

Her makeup shared those very same traits. Instead of the candy pink lippies that she usually sports, she favoured an icy pink one for this event. A startlingly sexy shade, we must say! She maintained her usual fake eyelashes darkened with oodles of mascara and liner, but went with muted nude and gold eye shadow – another first for the Starships hitmaker – finishing off with a dusting of shimmer.
She seems to have found just the right balance between flamboyance and elegance. Great look, Nicki!
