Ashlee paired a sheer white full sleeve shirt with a short black flirty skirt with a schoolgirl vibe. The bottoms had a sheer overlay, very sexy but also youthful. As for the top, she teamed it with a cutesy black pussy bow which served more than anything else to make her look both younger and classier at the same time. She rounded off the ensemble with black ankle boots but no bling apart from a very subtle gold cuff ring.

Meanwhile, her long blonde hair parted in the middle and left loose made up for any lack of jewellery as it dominated the styling and also infused enough glamour that she could comfortably do without additional sparkle. Natural makeup completed her look.

Ashlee’s ensemble gives you a fun and interesting way to sport the monochrome trend. It also has the additional advantage of giving you a versatile look that you can style up or down to adapt to different occassions.
Pair a plain white shirt with a short black skirt. While the top can be as plain as can be, the skirt should have a bit of a spirit to it. A bit of a pleat or a subtle ruffle – something to make it stand out just a tad. Adding a pussy bow to your shirt looks like a skilled task but it’s not. Simply tie on like a normal bow. You also get clip-on bows like clip-on ties if you’d rather do away with any tying.
When it comes to footwear, the ankle-length boots will look best, but a pair of plain black Mary Janes will also make the cut.

Do not go over the top with your makeup. The look really does work best with natural hues and getting dramatic will interfere with the simple elegance of the ensemble.
