Bikini to protect from UV rays

November 5, 2009 by sarita

“Bikini” to protect from UV rays

For the countries that are blanketed with spine-chilling cold wind, the sun comes as a pleasure and a great luxury. However, the damage caused by UV rays, to the skin, while sun bathing cannot be ignored.

The markets in UK are swarming with Smart Swim UV Intensity Bikini. The bikini has an intricate system of beads that changes color with the change in the intensity of UV rays. The strings embedded with Chameleon-like beads change to dark purple when the UV rays are on their height or else they remain white or light purple.

The bikini is the birth child of a Canadian based company, namely, Solestrom. The bikini comes with a chart that mentions the range of UV rays from 0 to 2 as low, 3 to 5 as moderate, 6 to 7 as high, 8 to 10 as very high and 11 and above as extreme. The chart also gives complete information about the color-code involved and guides the wearer in deciding their sunscreen lotion. It is available in cup sizes from 0-18 and A-DD.
