When it comes to bold lips, the eyes are a tricky part. Most would advice going subtle but hey, if you think you can rock bold lips with intense eyes, why not? Do check out these three of our favorite looks which are hot on trend!

  • The first one is a stunning dark berry lips with soft smokey eyes. Instead of black, pick a softer shade like charcoal grey. This will help balance out the deep hue of the lips.

And girls, let’s not forget the eye-brows. As they say, when you’ve got your brows game right, you’re make-up turns perfect.

The outfit

Whether you choose the lip color based on the outfit or the other way round, always make sure they are complementary. Think of it like a canvas and choose which goes best with what.

How to get the perfect bold lips

#Step 1: Prep

Like the rest of your face, prep your lips before applying any color. Gently exfoliate and follow up with a lip balm. Trust us; cracked lips are a disaster when it comes to bold lips! Plus, it is so much better to apply lipstick when yours lips are well moisturized.

#Step 2: Get the color right

Apply a concealer or foundation first and then follow up with the lip color.

#Step 3: The application

We always recommend using a lip brush while applying bold colors. The worst mistake is smudging of colors and as we know, heavy pigmented lipsticks tend to bleed a lot. So, draw a perfect outline using the brush and then fill in. Now blot, dab a little loose powder, dust and then, re-apply. It’s good to go for atleast three layers. This way, your lipstick stays longer and you won’t have to worry as much for touch-ups.

Lastly and importantly, use a concealer around the corners of your lips to hide any imperfections and to make your lips pop even better. Voila! Hello, perfect bold lips!
