We sometimes wonder what the celebs are thinking when they are putting their outfits together. Take Marcia Gay Harden at the Happy Feet 2 premiere for example.
Pretty pink flowy Bohemian blouse, all feminine and dreamy. Great belt on the jeans with the interesting detailing on the front pockets. And then the eyes travel to the lower half of the ensemble, and you cringe. The hem of the jeans are elasticized. Elasticized! And no, not in a stylish way at all. If it wasn’t for that tiny, ugly detail though, this would have been something we would have recommended to our readers.
The elasticized bit is wide, tacky, finished badly and brings to mind frumpy 80s fashion that we were glad to say goodbye to. This is where those questions about celeb dressing styles come in. If it must be casual, which is fine by us, must it be so out-of-the way that it ends up being negatively commented on? Are the celebs today so insecure that they don’t care how they are in the news as long as they are in the news? Well, Marcia, you definitely made our headlines with this one, whether for your bad dressing sense or insecurities we have yet to decide.
