Actress Wendie Malick was just one of the hundreds of celebs attending AARP’s 11th Annual Movies For Grownups Awards at Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on February 6. Her uber trendy and well put together ensemble made her stand out in the crowd.
The 61-year-old who never seems to age was wearing slim dark blue pants with a full-sleeved white collared shirt. The formal edge of the outfit was softened by the unfolded collar of the shirt and the unbuttoned cuffs which were rolled back to create a casual look. A matching jacket that fell mid-thigh was undoubtedly the classiest part of her outfit. But it was the eye-catching tie she wore that brought the outfit together beautifully, the deep red with yellow stripes adding a burst of lovely color to the sombre mood of the rest of her ensemble.
Her other accessories included black peep-toe heels, a black and silver clutch purse, a ring on her left hand, dangle earrings and a bunch of bracelets hidden underneath the long sleeves.
Leaving her straight brown hair loose, the Hot in Cleveland star finished her look with red nails, red lipstick, mascara and liner – all subtle and well-executed.
This is one of the most luxurious and rich androgynous looks we have seen on the red carpet. Her whole ensemble from head to toe is absolutely stunning, sophisticated and also very age-appropriate.

If you do not have this kind of jacket, do not despair. You can still put together a very classy androgynous look without it. Wear a pair of well-fitting pants and a long-sleeved white shirt. Add a brightly-colored tie and you are almost done.
Your shoes can be the same color as your pants, or they can match the tie too. You have quite a range of choice when it comes to footwear for this particular look, so don’t limit yourself to your formal work shoes. Try pumps, kitten heels, sling-back hells and stilettos.
Finally, your makeup should reflect the attitude you are trying to exude. Even natural makeup will look great with this look although a little color would work wonders in sprucing it up.
