Bipasha Basu Cheerful in Pink & Yellow Sari at “English Vinglish” Premiere

October 5, 2012 by benaifer

The premiere of Sridevi’s comeback film “English Vinglish” in Mumbai on October 4 brought all of Bollywood’s best and brightest to the pink carpet. The industry came out in droves to show their support.

What she wore

The hottie wrapped up her stellar curves in a glamorous but fun sari by Masaba. The traditional outfit featured a smartly-cut, very sexy black blouse, a delicate pink pallu and yellow pleats with a print, the dual tones lit up by a gold zari border.

She accessorized her unexpectedly merry outfit with gold strappy heels and a statement necklace. Hot pink nails, baby pink lips, dark eye makeup and curly brown hair completed her look.

Get the Look

Pick a sari that has rich colors and is made of light-weight fabric that is suitable for hot Indian summers and also better at flowing over your curves. You can make the look even more ethnic and classy by doing your hair up in a bun, adorning it with a gajra and sporting a brightly-colored bindi. For an evening look, straighten your hair, leave it loose and wear a maang-tika.

How and where to sport the look

Bipasha’s look may be traditional, but it’s totally rocking. You’ll find plenty of saris which feature bright colors and sometimes zany prints so you can confidently sport them at dinner parties and formal events without feeling old or old-fashioned. This look will also go down great for the upcoming Indian festivals of Durga Pooja, Dussehra and Diwali.
