Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th revolution around the sun was marked by a mega-bash in Film City, Mumbai which witnessed well wishers, music, laughter, good food and great style.
Kajol and Ajay Devgan walked in hand in hand looking as in love as ever. Maybe that’s what put the glow on Kajol’s face and the twinkle in Ajay’s eyes. She wore an interesting pink and blue churidaar-style salwar kameez which had a very Western look about it. Her side-swept braid is our favourite part of her ensemble Ajay, meanwhile, had a scruffy, unshaven, nerdy look going in a black suit, slightly-spiked hair and thick-framed glasses.
Mahima Chaudhari went traditional glam in an opulent gold and red sari with a pretty floral print on the pallu. Her elegant updo and matching glam makeup made her one of the most sophisticated women in the room.

Va-va- voom, Prachi Desai! She was bang on trend and sex appeal in a flowy, strapless off-white gown with undertones of gold. We love the stacked subtle-gold peep-toes she accessorized with and were thrilled to see she had the good sense to mute her hair and makeup to optimise this look.
Sonakshi Sinha wowed in a floor-sweeping, full-sleeved blue dress which boasted what looks suspiciously like a cape (is the Madonna trend catching on here?). Ornate embroidery accentuated the waist and sleeves while bands of pink and blue emblazoned the hem. That’s quite a style statement!
What is the secret of Urmila Matondkar’s youthful essence? She looked the same as she did in her Rangeela days. She too went with neutral shades in an ornate beige outfit accentuated by exquisite embroidery.

The free-spirited Vidya Balan turned heads with her red hot lips and wavy black hair. Yes, it was indeed her natural beauty which superseded her red sari and cute potli bag. Her unconventional ideals seep into her ensemble making her one of the more unique fashionistas at the do.
Amisha Patel was super sexy in a flowy, halter-neck teal gown made of a sensuous silk which did mind-boggling things to her curves. Her accessories were top-notch – ruby dangle earrings, a reflective box clutch purse and gorgeous nude peep-toes by Christian Louboutin. Her look was perfection!
