Designer Raghavendra Rathore presented his collection on the third day of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 in New Delhi.

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was the show stopper for Raghavendra Rathore and was dressed in a black kurta white churidar set teamed with an embroidered jacket.

Color blocked suits in monotone hues were paired with socks in contrast colors this gave an element of quirk to the collection.

Intricate gold work was one of the mainstays of the outfits presented by the designer. The embroidery emanated vintage and antique feel. Some of the ensembles and the heavy work on them looked quite inspired by baroque fashion.

The collection on display had both traditional and contemporary touch to it. Bandhgalas and achkans, which are a favourite staple of the designer, made an appearance on the ramp in both the men’s and women’s line. Other pieces that were showcased included Indo-Western gowns, kurtas, flowing dresses, shrugs, jodhpuri pants and kaftans.

The intricately embroidered and embellished jackets in various lengths held their own place. Regal hues such as midnight blue, black, purple, fuschia, saffron, wine, silver, gold, red and pink made gave a rich feel to the clothes.
