The Dilli Haat in New Delhi was abuzz on December 13 as models, designers, journalists, celebrities and an eager audience came together for a fashion show organized there by the Ministry of Textile.

Mostly traditional, the collection presented on the runway gave a new twist to classic designs, inspired by Indian wear from all four corners of the country as well as infusing Western elements into the ensembles.

Asymmetrical hemlines and flowy silhouettes were the flavour of the evening with sleek lines making a guest appearance. A lot of embroidery and brocade work made the outfits visually stunning.

Primarily neutral colors were interspersed with accents of bold color to create a calming yet bold and very feminine range of saris, salwar kameezes, lehengas and frocks.
