The border is where most of the glam quotient came in. A thick gold zari border preceded a band of red, the latter embellished in turn by more gold embroidery. It gave off a luxurious feel that balanced out and enriched the more delicate embroidery on the pallu.
We love her black blouse too. Simply cut in black velvet, it too did all it could to up the oomph factor thanks to its teasing neckline and cap sleeves featuring gold embroidery.
