Fashion designer Gavin Miguel presented his latest collection at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2013 in Mumbai, India on November 23, 2013. Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut was the show-stopper, sashaying down the runway in a futuristic creation.

Sheer fabric, cutouts and sequins – that’s what Kangana’s outfit was made of. She wore a floor length gown, but most of it was sheer. Sequinned panelling on the bust and the hips protected her modesty and also formed an abstract pattern on the skirt. The way that the sequins were lined up vertically on the waist gave the bodice a corset-like look. The back of the dress was quite sexy too with its deep backline and cutout detailing. Criss-cross ankle-strap heels completed the ensemble.

The outfit was futuristic, fantastical and other-worldly. Gavin said that he had designed it keeping Kangana in mind and that he did not think any other woman would have been able to pull it off quite like she did.

Meanwhile, her hair and makeup went one step further to round things out, Her own dark curly locks were hidden underneath a wig that was styled in a cropped bob with blunt bangs. Her makeup borrowed from a doll-like plastic theme, making the Cleopatra eyes the focus of her face.

This isn’t the first time that Gavin and Kangana have worked together. He designed her mutant costume for her role in the most recent superhero flick Krrish 3. But more importantly, he helped her create her very first portfolio which led to her getting her first mainstream role in the Gangster.
