It was the beautiful Kareena Kapoor playing muse to designer Gaurav Gupta for his edgy Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 collection, showcased on August 30th. The range was inspired by Lakmé’s ‘Sculpt’ range of cosmetics and evidently, Gaurav Gupta’s designs had a lot of clean silhouettes, sharp cuts and dramatic ruffles.

The outfit that the designer picked for Kareena was a one-shoulder trumpet gown that had sheer edgy cut-outs. Clean pleats on the skirt’s flare and the shoulder made for a dramatic, avant garde finish.

Given the unconventional design of the gown, Kareena’s styling was kept restrained with clean pulled back up-do hair, light smokey eyes and bright red lips. One word – stunning! Kareena definitely stole the show.
