Students and BJP workers staged a protest in Chennai against the release of latest Bollywood flick Madras Café starring John Abraham.

The main reason for the general discontentment and protest has been the basis that the movie apparently hurts the sentiments of Sri Lankan Tamils and shows many events in distorted light. As a repercussion of this, the movie’s release, in all likelihood, will get delayed in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, the Madras High Court has told the makers of this movie to not release it without the permission of the Film Certification Board.

The highly anticipated movie has been directed by Shoojit Sircar of Vicky Donor fame and stars John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri as the leads. Abraham, who is also the producer of the film, plays the character of an Indian intelligence agent posted in Sri Lanka.
