Since the gold arm bracelet she modelled did not have an over-the-top design, Nargis could comfortably sport a luxurious gold gown by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla without looking like a chandelier.

She totally dazzled in the number she picked. It had a sleeveless bodice radiating light from the gold and mirror-work that embellished it. And all that shine was balanced out by a flared skirt in plain black with pleats on the hemline.

Nargis didn’t wear any other jewellery apart from the bracelet, which was a good thing because it made the piece stand out even more starkly.
A bright red lippie was the focus of her makeup, a light pink blush and generously-mascaraed lashes following suit. She completed her princess-y look with a voluminous updo that had a couple of long wisps left loose for some character and romance.

The event – which raises both funds for and awareness about HIV – was hosted by Hollywood actress Sharon Stone and compered by Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai. Apart from the usual high-class guest list, the do featured a cocktail reception, dinner, a live auction, a fashion show and world class entertainment.
